Yes... it gives me the confidence to CRUSH all my enemies, see them driven before me, and listen to the lamentations of their women.

It's all simple aesthetics for me. I prefer the look of some of the 15k armours over the look of their 1.5k counterparts, so I keep a set of the 15k version around instead of the 1.5k version.

get aeromancer on looks, because no mater which type of elem armor you pick, you get attacked by the other elements dispite your choice. dont get 15k for necros yet, they are going to have some put in, because as of right now, it looks the same as the 1.5k.
and to answer the 1st question, i like how sexy my ranger looks with 15k druid compaired to 1.5k

No... but it sure looks pretty, and took me a LONG time to save up for
That said, I'll swap between the 3 outfits my monk has, according to what I feel like looking at... of course, what I wear when in a party depends entirly on what type of job I'm doing.

My ranger uses furlined right now...shrug.
My monk might get judges...whatever. It doesnt matter. My 55 build uses standard nothingness drok's armor, forget what its called, and not changing (rune prices!). But i do have another set for healin peeps, which i might upgrade to 15k.

I just think they look better, also it's a way to distinguish yourself from newcomers. The 15k sets are in many cases a large improvement over the other ones. If it was all about looking rich I would've bought the fissure armor when I had the supplies, but fissure armor just looks ugly in my opinion, much uglier than the 15k sets. So I sold off the materials and used the money to buy dye and the better looking (IMO) 15k sets.

wow, i never knew you could determine anything from a person's armor choice (whether it be 1.5k,15k or Fissure) other than where they have been in the game.

For my female mesmer character, definitely! I paid 15K for all but her mask and pants (both can't be seen in a town anyway, pants are hidden by dress).
This is the enchanters clothes I am talking about. They look super! I dyed them a neat color and she really looks like she is ready for an evening out ;-)

It's always good to get around all dressed up makes you feel better. My ranger had the druids top (The rest is ugly) and Geo and Hydro for my ele and she looks really good in both.

It feels like you are part of a club when you got a 15k piece on. I could only afford the chest piece for my monk (i don't bother farming, no time for such things) but it felt different when you hang around the grotto. Cause most people there are at least wearing some piece of a 15k armor.

My plan is to get 15K Gladiator's Hauberk, 15K Platemail Leggings, 15K Wyvern Boots, 15K Wyvern Gloves and 15K Ascalon Helm, whereafter I'll dye the whole thing silver.
That's how I am. Could someone tell me if there IS a 15K version of Wyvern and Ascalon set?

15K Wyvern Set aka Dragon Set is in Granite Citadel.
15K Ascalon Set is in Marman Grotto.
Cheers.
P/S: I like my 'men bra' aka 15K Glad Armor.
